Here you have stunning hand turned captive rings candle stand. This piece was made with the inspiration and thought of the 17th century tradition of a Celtic Wedding goblet. Where a young man would meet his one true love and carve out of a single piece of wood a wedding goblet with 2 captive rings forever linked to the goblet. The young man would use it as a proposal gift. If accepted the happy couple would toast from the goblet on there wedding day and every anniversary after. It was believed that if the rings remained intact there love would last forever! What a romantic story. 😍 We decided to think outside the box and wondered what would be desired these days. Candle stand! This candle stand has been hand turned out of one piece of elm wood including the rings where a little bit of magic happens. (Watch the making of video on our Facebook page) This stands an impressive 24 cm tall with a diameter of 13cm! What a conversation starter for those dinner parties with this table centre candle stand. Or on a coffee table.
